Hot cocoa isn’t just for little kids on the Polar Express. It’s for everyone! This cold day fightin’, fireplace sittin’, blanket wearin’ hot chocolate recipe is sure to leave a smile and a chocolate mustache wherever it goes. Get your protein and warmth, all in the same cup! - 1 cup 2% milk (or your favorite)
- 2 TBSP cacao powder
- 1 TBSP maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 scoop Ca-Cow Chocolate Whey
- 1/2 cup water
Start by adding the milk and cacao powder to a small pot over medium heat. Heat slowly and mix well to incorporate the cacao into the milk. Once it is blended together and warmed, add in the maple syrup and cinnamon. Stir until everything is blended well and remove from heat. Meanwhile, add your protein and water to a shaker blender and shake well. Pour the protein into the bottom of your favorite mug and then pour your milk mixture on top. Stir together, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon, and enjoy!
