This feature is a part of EFM's ongoing Earth Fed Elite spotlight series. The Elite program is a team of competitors from all walks of life who are pushing boundaries, embracing change, and living the #earthfedlife.
Juliana "Jules" Riotto, 2018 Junior Female Lifter of the Year, only started lifting in 2016 after starting out as a Crossfit athlete. She was recruited by USA Weightlifting during the 2015 Crossfit Open after reaching the teen division #1 ranking in 15.1A (for a max clean and jerk). Since then Jules has been a 2x Junior world team member and a 2x Junior Pan Am Team Member. She also was a 75k University/U25 National Champion in 2016.
In 2018, the achievements kept rolling in: a 75k Junior National Champion, a 90k Junior World Gold medalist in the snatch, Bronze medalist in the clean and jerk and Silver Medalist in the total, a Junior Pan American Champion and a Junior American Record holder in the snatch (106k) and total (234k). Needless to say, Juliana has achieved significant success in a short period and is looking to add to her list of accomplishments in 2019.
We here at Earth Fed Muscle couldn't be happier to have Jules on the team!
