If a vacation piña colada and cozy cinnamon-sugar nostalgia had a baby… this would be it.
These horchata protein bites are sweet, soft, and just indulgent enough to feel like a treat—but built with ingredients that actually keep you full, energized, and out of the pantry 20 minutes later.
We’ve got gluten-free oats for fiber, almond flour for that soft, bakery-style texture, and a scoop of horchata protein that brings the real star energy (cinnamon + coconut + vanilla + creamy vibes). Add in nut butter and honey, and suddenly you’re rolling up what tastes like dessert… but functions like fuel.
No oven. No complicated steps. No excuses.
Make them once, keep them in the freezer, and thank yourself all week when you need something fast, sweet, and actually satisfying.
INGREDIENTS:
• 3/4 cup gluten free rolled oats
• 1/2 cup of almond flour
• 1 scoop EFM’s SEASONAL FLAVOR: Horchata Grass-Fed Whey Protein
• 1 TBSP ground cinnamon
• 3 tbsp coconut flakes, unsweetened
• 1/3 of a cup nut butter (creamy)
• 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• ⅓ cup (+2 tbsp) of organic honey (OR maple syrup)
DIRECTIONS:
- Add the oats, almond flour, protein powder, cinnamon, and coconut flakes. Stir or blend all ingredients until a batter is formed.
- Next, add the nut butter, honey and vanilla.
- Mix well with a spatula and/or a fork to really press the “wet” ingredients into the “dry” ingredients. *Add more honey or nut butter if the batter is dry and not sticking together.
- Roll into 18, 1.5 inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Place in the freezer for 25 minutes to harden.
- Store in an airtight container for 1 week or freeze up to 6 weeks.
