How to Make Apple Cinnamon Protein Bake
1. Prep your oven.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Line a 9x13-inch casserole dish with parchment paper.
2. Blend.
Add all of the ingredients to a high-speed blender.
Blend until smooth and creamy. Yes, that's really it.
3. Bake.
Pour the batter into your parchment-lined baking dish. Bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until the center is set.
If you're making a larger batch for 12+ servings, you can use a sheet pan instead of a casserole dish.
4. Cool, slice, and enjoy.
Let the bake cool slightly before slicing. For meal prep, portion it into individual servings and store in an airtight container or baggie in the refrigerator.
How to Serve It
The beauty of this recipe is that you can take it in a few different directions.
-
For breakfast: Warm up a slice and add a dollop of Greek yogurt or Cool Whip.
-
For a snack: Slice it into individual portions, pop one into a baggie, and take it with you for an easy, nutrient-dense snack.
-
For dessert: Warm it up and top it with sautéed apple slices and a drizzle of caramel sauce. You could even add a little extra cinnamon on top.
Make It Your Own
Want even more….
-
apple flavor? Add additional diced apple to the batter before baking.
-
crunch? Top individual servings with chopped walnuts or pecans.
-
sweetness? Add a little maple syrup, honey, or your favorite sweetener.
And if you're making this for meal prep, you can portion it into 6, 8, or 10 servings depending on how substantial you want each serving to be.
