"I can't remember a time when I wasn't active, but I had hit a point where I needed something more than running and I wanted to utilize the strength I knew I had. In 2013, my (now) husband introduced me to CrossFit and it changed my whole life. After a couple years of being a CF diehard, I had taken some Olympic lifting sessions in the hopes to dial up my technique and I just never looked back! I love that this sport is constantly challenging you to be better & stronger. It's the physical challenge and mental health outlet I had always wanted.
I was previously an elementary school teacher and I realized my passion for teaching didn't lie in the classroom, but rather in the gym. After coaching & competing at local, national & international levels, I finally opened my own Olympic Weightlifting Club, Kilo Coalition, located in Central CT. It is my goal to help grow Olympic lifting as a sport in my area and to help encourage young women, specifically, to be a strong, independent & fierce presence.
When not at the gym, I'm with the family enjoying the outdoors or having living room dance parties!"
