We know our Summer Seasonal Championships left some people very disappointed with S'mores coming in a few votes short of the champion title. But we wanted to make it up to you. These S'mores Protein Bars are the best macro-friendly snack we've had in a minute!
You can make them with our Vanilla Whey, Chocolate Whey, Nocturnal Casein and even sprinkle in some Gelatin Pro for a little extra fluff to the marshmallow toppings. The protein powder makes up most of the base, so you'll need 2 hefty scoops.
These bars are a great dessert or snack to have along with a hot cup of Max Effort Coffee. But what all do you need to make these gooey, satiating treats?
- 2 scoops Earth Fed Muscle Vanilla Whey
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 1/4 cup Monk Fruit Sweetener
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt optional
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup egg whites
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 3 tbsp nut butter
- 3 tbsp. dark chocolate chunks (we used Enjoy Life brand)
- 1/4 cup mini marshmallows (we used Dandies)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Blend dry ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.
Mix in wet ingredients. Don't over mix!
Lightly spray an 8x8 baking dish with cooking spray and top with mini marshmallows and dark chocolate chunks.
Bake for 20-30 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown and a toothpick or knife inserted in the center comes out slightly dirty.
Let bars cool 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving. Store leftovers in the fridge or freeze for later!
